A Resolution consenting to and confirming the appointment of Quentin Pough,
as the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation for the City of South
Miami,Florida.
WHEREAS,the City Manager,on the basis of ability to perform the duties of the
position Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation,hereby recommends the
appointment of Quentin Pough to that position;and
WHEREAS,pursuant to Article III,Section 5,subsection A.provides that "the City
Manager may not appoint any department director without first obtaining the consent ofa
majority of the members ofCityCommissionataduly noticed City Commission meeting/';
and
WHEREAS,the Mayor and City Commission wish to consent to and confirm the
appointment of Quentin Pough,as the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation
for the City of South Miami.
NOW,THEREFORE,BEIT RESOLVED BYTHE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OFTHE
CITYOF SOUTH MIAMI,FLORIDA:
Section 1.The Mayor and City Commission hereby consent and confirm the
appointment of Quentin Pough,as the Director of the Department ofParksand Recreation
for the City of South Miami.
Section2.EffectiveDate.This resolutionshall become effective immediately upon
adoption by vote of the City Commission.
