A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA, RELATING TO
BOARDS AND COMMITTEES; APPOINTING JANET F.
LAUNCELOTT TO SERVE ON THE COMMISSION FOR WOMEN FOR
A TWO -YEAR TERM ENDING APRIL 2, 2009; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Commission recognize the important
contributions made by those who serve on the various city boards and
committees, and wish to appoint a full complement to each of the
active boards and committees; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to appoint Janet F.
Launcelott to serve for a two -year term on the Commission for Women.
This appointment(s) shall expire April 2, 2009 or until a successor is
duly appointed and qualified.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby appoints Janet F. Launcelot
to the Commission for Women.
Section 2. The expiration date of this appointment (s) shall be
April 2, 2009 or until a successor is duly appointed and qualified.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
approval.
