No. 040-09-12849RESOLUTION NO. 40 -09 -12849 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA, RELATING TO BOARDS AND COMMITTEES; APPOINTING VALTENA GIBSON BROWN TO SERVE ON THE PARK AND RECREATION BOARD FOR AN UNEXPIRED TERM ENDING JULY 23, 2010; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, The Mayor and Commission recognize the important contributions made by those who serve on the various city boards and committees, and wish to appoint a full complement to each of the active boards and committees; and WHEREAS, The City Commnission desires to appoint Valtena Gibson Brown to serve for an unexpired term on the Park and Recreation Board. Appointment shall expire July 23, 2010 or until a successor is duly appointed and qualified. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA, THAT: Section 1. The City Commission hereby appoints Valtena Gibson Brown to the Park and Recreation Board. Section 2. The expiration date of this appointment shall be July 23, 2010 or until a successor is duly appointed and qualified. Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon approval.
