PURPOSE OF SPECIAL MEETING 1. To announce the opening and closing of an attorney-client session to be held pursuant to Section 286.011(8), Fla. Stat., to discuss the case of City of South Miami v. Young Men’s Christian Association of Greater Miami, Inc., Case No. 13-01689 CA 05. C. ADJOURNMENT CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI NOTICE OF ATTORNEY/CLIENT SESSION Please take notice that there will be a Non-Public attorney-client session to be held pursuant to Section 286.011(8), Fla. Stat., to discuss the case of City of South Miami v. Young Men’s Christian Association of Greater Miami, Inc., Case No. 13-01689 CA 05. The attorney-client session will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 and will begin at 6:30 p.m. The names of the persons attending the attorney-client session are Mayor Philip Stoddard, Vice Mayor Josh Liebman, and Commissioner Valerie Newman, Commissioner Walter Harris, Commissioner Bob Welsh, City Attorney Thomas F. Pepe, City Manager Steven Alexander, and Orange Legal (court reporter) The subject matter of the meeting shall be confined to settlement negotiations or strategy sessions related to litigation expenditures. The entire session shall be recorded by a certified court reporter who will record the times of commencement and termination of the session, all discussion and proceedings, the names of all persons present at any time, and the names of all persons speaking. No portion of the session shall be off the record. The court reporter's notes shall be fully transcribed and filed with the City Clerk within a reasonable time after the meeting, but the transcript shall not be open to public inspection until after the conclusion of the litigation. The session will commence at an open meeting at which the Mayor will announce the commencement and estimated length of the attorney-client session and the names of the persons attending.
