The 16 motion passed4.;,1 (Welsh) / . ,',', > .', :" u',', 17 18 Commissioner Newman requested for the City Attorney to present in his report at 19 the next Commission meeting a list of all of the lawsuits and all of the payouts over the past 20 four years, whether the settlement included a payout or if we lost the case, plus any pending 21 litigation. 22 23 Comments/discussion continued: 24 25 Raising the minimum wage; proposing to use the $45K in the line item for the 26 kiosks for increasing the minimum wage; 27 28 At this time Commissioner Newman made a motion to increase the wages of the 29 full-time employees to $10 an hour, and to leave the current $8.16 an hour wage for the part- 30 time employees; the balance of the $45K to be given back to the residents by reducing the 31 millage rate. Seconded by Commissioner Welsh. The second was later withdrawn. Seconded by Mayor Stoddard the motion passed 5-0. 4 5 Recommendation to use any remaining balance towards parks improvement; 6 7 The motion by Commissioner Newman, seconded by Vice Mayor Liebman, not to 8 investigate further about red light cameras failed by a 2-3 vote (Stoddard, Harris, Welsh) 9 10 Discussion relating to MIS and the proposed contract with the County for IT 11 services. 12 13 Discussion relating to the City MClnager's organizational chart: Vice Mayor Liebman 14 recommended eliminating the proposed Community Development dir.ector position and 15 replacing it with that of an assistant city manag~6position;this positio~ w6uld entail assisting 16 the city manager, and also taking on the roll ofthec:ommunity Development director 17 responsible for managing the Building/Planning, and Code Enforcement Departments. 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 Moved by Vice Mayor Liebrrianforanassistantcity manager's position, seconded by Commissioner Welsh, the motion pass~dunanimously. With regardt~t~:~"~D~C Gala, Commissioner Newman moved to remove it from the budget, and that each IndividJal\ member of the Commission be responsible for purchasing their ticket from their own expensej3ccount. Seconded by Commissioner Welsh, the motion passed bya3-2 vote (Stoddard,l-farris)· . With some further comments the Commission proceeded to table this item.
