Background: Team FootWorks Educational and Fitness Corporation is a non-for-profit organization, which submitted a Special Event Application to request permission to hold its 25 th Twilight 5K Walk/Run, on Sunday, June 2nd, 2013, in South Miami's downtown area and surrounding streets. Expense: Account: On April 16,2013, the City Commission approved Team FootWorks to hold their event per Resolution #81-13-13899. The applicant is seeking an amendment to the previously approved Resolution (#81-13-13899), to include a waiver request for the parking fees. The cost for the parking meters is $1,450.00 (58 meters X $25.00 per day). If the City Commission approves the waiver, then the applicant would pay the City for Police, Public Works, and Street Closure in the amount of $3,523.75. If approval for the waiver is not granted, then the applicant will pay the City $4,973.75. The applicant paid a total amount of $660.00 for the deposit and application fee. Payment for this special event will be provided by the applicant prior to the 43 event; unless directed differently by the City Commission. 44 45 Section 3.
