FMIT offers the most competitive rates for Workers' Compensation Insurance. The City continues to receive the company's preferred rating because of the continuing coverage, including a 5% credit for its Drug Free Work Place policy and a 2% credit for its Safety Policy. The City Manager recommends that the City renew its policy with PGIT for its Property, General Liability and Automobile Insurance coverage. The PGIT proposal contains the most favorable rates for all coverage except Workers' Compensation. Brown & Brown, Inc. presented the proposal on behalf of PGIT and attempted to present other options for the City's insurance placement from other carriers with an "A-" or better rating from A.M. Best Company. No other quotes were presented.
