WHEREAS, the Mayor and Commission recognize the important contributions made by those who serve on the various city boards and committees, and wish to appoint a full complement to each of the active boards and committees; and WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to appoint Officer Richard Munoz to serve for a two- year term on the Board of TrusteeslPolice Officers Retirement Trust Fund. Appointment shall expire December 5, 2013 or until a successor is duly appointed and qualified; and WHEREAS, that Officer Richard Munoz has been selected by the police participants as required under Chapter 16, Article III, Section 16-33(a) of the City of South Miami Code of Ordinances. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA, THAT: Section 1. The City Commission hereby appoints Officer Richard Munoz to the Board of Trustees/Police Officers Retirement Trust Fund. Section 2. The expiration date of this appointment shall be December 5, 2013 or until a successor is duly appointed and qualified. Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
