RESOLUTION NO.
A Resolution of the Mayor and City Commission of the City of South Miami,
Florida, relating to the Boards and Committees; appointing LaTasha M. Nickle,
an active employee of the City designated by the City Manager to serve on the
Pension Board for a two -year term ending March 1, 2013; and providing an
effective date.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Commission recognize the important contributions made by
those who serve on the various city boards and committees, and wish to appoint a full
complement to each of the active boards and committees; and,
WHEREAS, Sec. 16 -20 (a) of the Code or Ordinances provides for one active employee
of the city to be designated by the City Manager, to be appointed by the Mayor with the advice
and consent of the City Commission; and,
WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to appoint LaTasha M. Nickle to serve for a
two -year term on the Pension Board. Appointments shall expire March 1, 2013 or until a
successor is duly appointed and qualified.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA;
Section 1. The City Commission hereby appoints LaTasha M. Nickle to serve on the
Pension Board as an active employee of the City designated by the City Manager.
Section 2. The expiration date of this appointment shall be March 1, 2013 or until a
successor is duly appointed and qualified.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon approval.
