A Resolution of the Mayor and City Commission of the City of South Miami, Florida, relating to authorization of the City Manager as signatory in city bank accounts; providing for an effective date. WHEREAS, with adoption of Resolution No. 203 -10 -13237 by the City Commission, Hector Mirabile, Ph.D was appointed City Manager on September 21, 2010; and WHEREAS, Sections 2- 8(a)(3) and 2 -8(e) of the City of South Miami Code provides for the City Manager to sign or countersign all City checks with the Finance Director or the City Clerk, and WHEREAS, the City Administration wishes to forward the signature of Hector Mirabile, Ph.D to all the banking institutions currently used by the City as replacement to Buford R. (Randy). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI: Section 1. That the City Administration is hereby authorized to provide Hector Mirabile, Ph.D with the appropriate documents to facilitate his signature appearing in the City bank accounts. Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon approval PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of October, 2010. WHEREAS, pursuant to Article II, Section 7 of the City of South Miami Charter the Mayor and City Commission is vested with the power to appoint a City Manager; and, WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to enter into an Employment Agreement with the City Manager to define the Manager's duties, responsibilities and compensation. Now therefore be it resolved by the Mayor and City Commission of the City of South Miami, Florida, that: Section 1. The City Commission hereby approves the attached Employment Agreement, between the City of South Miami and Hector Mirabile, Ph.D. Section 2.
