A resolution of the Mayor and City Commission of the City of South Miami, Florida, relating to the hiring freeze of all employees; rescinding Resolution No. 134 -10- 13168; providing an effective date. WHEREAS, the budget process for the FY 2010 -2011 is now over, and WHEREAS, the City Commission, with the cooperation of the Budget and Finance Committee has been able to make adjustments towards lowering the millage rate 3.74 %, which is lower than the rollback rate of 5.1452 and resulting in 0.00% change in property tax rate in the City of South Miami for the FY 2010 -2011, and WHEREAS, the City Commission has hired a permanent City Manager who needs to have the hiring freeze lifted. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The City Commission is hereby lifting the hiring freeze by rescinding Resolution No. 134 -10 -13168 adopted June 30, 2010. Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1.
