A Resolution of the Mayor and City Commission of the City of South Miami, Florida, selecting candidates to be interviewed for the position of City Manager,
scheduling interview dates and requesting that the Mercer Group conduct background investigations on the City Manager candidates to be interviewed; providing an effective date.
Whereas,
the City Commission is in the process of selecting a City Manager, and
Whereas, the City has received sixty-nine applications for the City Manager position, and
Whereas, in addition
to a review of the credentials set forth in the candidates’ resumes a full background investigation must be performed by The Mercer Group, and a group of the most impressive/qualified
candidates must be interviewed.
Now, Therefore, be it Resolved by the Mayor and City Commission of the City of South Miami, Florida:
Section 1. The following seven candidates for the
City Manager position are hereby selected as the finalists to be interviewed for the position:

Section 2. The Mercer Group shall forthwith conduct background investigations on the individuals listed in the above Section and provide the City Commission with the results of such
investigations.
Section 3. The City Manager candidates listed in Section 1 above shall be interviewed by the City Commission in a Special Meeting scheduled for _________________, and
at the conclusion of such meeting the City Commission, by majority vote, shall select a City Manager.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall coordinate the scheduling of the interviews of
the City Manager candidates with The Mercer Group.
Section 5. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
