Dear Mayor and Ms. Menendez:
Please call and schedule a special meeting to consider the
settlement proposal in Metro South to begin at 7:05 p.m., after the
start of the 7:00 p.m. regular commission meeting set for September 4,
2013. We can start the regular meeting, then adjourn it and proceed
with the special meeting. When the special meeting is done, we can
resume the regular meeting. Please also reschedule the workshop to
August 28, 2013.
Ms. Boulris:
We need, before 5:00 p.m. today, the site plan, landscape plan
and color elevations to be sent to the members of the ERPB and Planning
Board at the end of the day. Please send them to me for my review and
call me to discuss them. It may be a good idea to have the architect on
the line in the event that there are any questions. Can the northern
lot height be adjusted to 25 feet and have 3 "levels" for the parking
garage, as opposed to 3 "stories".
Mr. Brimo:
Please send the members of the ERPB and Planning Board the
following email:
Please be advised that a special joint workshop is being
scheduled for the ERPB and Planning Board members to provide their
comments at an open public meeting scheduled for August 8, 2013, at
________ p.m. The City Commission would appreciate it if all of you
could all review the proposed plans, referred to below, attend the
meeting and provide your opinions concerning the site plan, landscape
plan and color elevations of the proposed Metro South project, which is
attached. The City Commission will be considering a settlement
agreement that is being proposed by Metro South at a special commission
meeting to be scheduled on September 4, 2013, and would like to be able
to review the proposal with your comments, from the joint special
meeting, in mind. The joint workshop is not a formal meeting of your
boards and no resolution, or written recommendations, will be made and
no vote will be taken. The City Commission will attend this special
workshop as members of the public.

By publishing it, say tomorrow, (8/22), I would give us 10 days
by Monday, (9/2), but that is out because is Labor Day. Then on Tuesday
(9/3) we have our regular meeting; leaving us with Wednesday (9/4) for
the special meeting/public hearing. I also want to point out that
according to my calendar the next day (9/5) is Rosh Hashanah, but we
need to be clear that the Jewish holiday does not start on that
Wednesday.
Call me with your thoughts because I need confirmation that next
Wednesday the 28th is out for the special meeting.
