The HUD investigator, Ms. Kelsey Harlow, who has been assigned to the
Metro South HUD case, has received the City's answer to the complaint.
She is in the process of investigating the complaint, and she is
requesting that the City provide the following information, some of
which is currently in the possession of the City's defense team. Please
have the appropriate person review the list to determine which of these
items have not yet been produced and advise me of same. At the same
time, please have the items that have not been produced, obtained and
made available electronically. Ms. Harlow has requested that the
information be produced within 10 days of yesterday. I just received
the letter today.
1. Copy of MSSA rezoning requests received on or about January 27,
2012.
2. Current Parking Policy and standard for TODD MU-4 and TODD MU-5
zoning Area.
3. Copy of March 20, 2012 Commission meeting minutes
4. Copy of Section 20-6.1(A) (3) (a) (iii) of the City's code.
5. Copy of Special Commission Meeting minutes on March 27, 2012.
6. Copy of August 2, 2012 Commission meeting minutes.
7. Copy of Commissioner Newman's sponsored resolution
originally entitled "Resolution opposing the
award of tax credits under the 2011 Universal Application."
8. Copy of May 15, 2012 Commission meeting.
9. Please provide the City's plan to affirmatively further fair
housing.
10. Please provide the City of South Miami's portion of the
Miami-Dade Consolidated Plan
11. Who decides what projects received CDBG funding? How does
the City receive its CDBG funds?
12. What is the City doing to actively pursue the development
of affordable housing within the City of South Miami?
13. Why at this particular time did the City decide to proceed
with the studies of absorption, vacancy rates, transportation and parks?
14. Please provide the racial demographics of the City of South
Miami and which zip codes have which concentrations.
15. Is 6101 Sunset Drive a vacant lot? If so, how long has it
been vacant and does the City have any plans for the property. If so,
what kind of plans?
16. Please provide any and all staff reports relating to
IvISSA.
17. Please provide a copy of the recorded public mediation
of June 8, 2012.
18. Please provide the minutes of the August 21, 2012
hearing.
19. Please provide a copy of the advertised notice of
intent to consider the implementing development
agreement at two public hearings to be held August 7, 2012
and August 21, 2012.
20. Please provide the minutes of the August 7, 2012
public.
21. Please provide the minutes of the August 28, 2012
hearing.
22. Please send a copy of the moratorium ordinance against
multifamily developments such. as MSSA's proposed
housing.
