Res No 005-14-14099RESOLUTION NO. 05-14-14099 A Resolution authorizing the City Manager to permit the continued operation of the Farmers Market at City Hall on Sundays for the month of January, February and March, 2014, and waiving meter fees. WHEREAS, Resolution number 27-03-11576, Section 2, requires that all organizations sponsoring a Special Event must receive approval by resolution from South Miami City Commission; and, WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to have a Farmers Market at City Hall; and WHEREAS, the City has authorized the operation of a Farmers Market at City Hall by a special events permit over the last several months and the current Farmers Market operator desires to continue to operate on this basis. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to permit the continued operation of the Farmers Market on one half of metered parking lot at City Hall on Sundays for the month of January, February and March, 2014 by way of a special events permit, waiving the normal charge for the loss of parking meter revenue. Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7thdayof January ,2014.
