As TeamFootWorks takes pride in never starting an event by asking for free services from a municipality, we also do not like to pay above and beyond what other events do: Considerations granted others should be extended to us as well. We are asking the City of South Miami to consider being a sponsor of this "hometown event" The race is currently supported by South Miami Hospital and Town Restaurant and Community Newspapers. We provide a bounce house and short fun runs for the kids making it a great event for the entire family. The residents look forward to this event — it is a tradition for downtown South Miami. From the beginning (22 years ago) through 2008 the only expenses The Twilight Run paid the city were for off duty Police — fees went up a little each year. In 2008 we had & officers totaling $1.249.00.'VVc have a budget that covers the police but does not include extra expenses -- up. to $10;000 the city can charge.
