Church on Thursday, July 3rd. The call was prompted by the E.R.P.B.'s decision on July 1st, to defer an application made by Wrono Enterprises on the Church's behalf. The Board asked the applicant to return with alternatives to the proposed accordion shutters in order to maintain the architectural integrity of the buildings facade. During my discussions with the Reverend Green I was made aware that this delay created a possible financial hardship for the Church. In the options category a special meeting of the E.R.P.B. seemed the only way to expedite the process for him. It was for this reason that I asked for your assistance in calling a special session, for which we were subsequently unable to establish a quorum. Staff: Staff recommends approval with the condition that the shutters be used for hurricane purposes only and not for everyday security purposes. 1. Mr. Anthony Infante signed in as the representative for Wrono Enterprises Corp. 2. Staff made their presentation, noting the condition for approval that the shutters be used for hurricane purposes only, as opposed to being used for routine security purposes. 3. Mr. Infante responded that, following installation, the church is planning to use the shutters only in the event of a hurricane, and he noted that they would be painted white to match the color of the building. 4. During its review of the application, the Board concurred that alternatives, such as panels, may be preferable to accordion shutters, particularly with respect to the church's architecture, and ERPB encouraged the applicant to research such alternatives. 5. Motion: Mr. Diaz moved deferral of the application, based on the condition that the applicant return with a proposal containing alternatives to accordion shutters, with removal shutters or panels being strongly recommended.
