Res No 188-12-13745RESOLUTION No.: 188 42 -13745 A Resolution of the Mayor and City Commission of the City of South Miami, Florida, relating to the Police Department. The Commission firmly disavows any and all attempts by individual members of the Commission to outsource the South Miami Police Department to Miami -Dade County. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI. Section 1. That the commission as a body has no intention of outsourcing the South Miami Police Department and that it commends the exemplary performance of the South Miami Police under the leadership of Chief Orlando Martinez de Castro along with Majors Ana Baixauli and Rene Landa, Section 2. That the Commission desires to restrict any individual member of the Commission from acting as a representative of this body without the consent of the majority.
