ORDINANCE OF CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA,
AMENDING SECTION 2 =7 OF CODE OF- ORDINANCES
OF CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI; FLORIDA, BY ADDING
THERETO A SUB - PARAGRAPH TO BE NUMBERED SUB-
PARAGRAPH "C" AND "D "; THEREBY PROVIDING FOR
CITY MANAGER TO ESTABLISH FEES TO BE CHARGED
FOR COPIES OF RECORDS, RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS,

WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable -for the City to
establish a fair uniform method for setting fees to be charged
the public for copies of public records as well-as for partici-
pation in municipal sponsored recreational programs and other
services performed by the City of a temporary nature, and
WHEREAS, the cost of providing such services varies from
time to time and it is the desire of the City to charge only
the actual costs of furnishing such services, and
WHEREAS, the City Counci-l' finds that the City Manager is
the proper person to establish such fees in the interest of
expediency and fairness;
NOW, THEREFORE,- BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA:
That Sect`i'on °2 -7 of Code of Ord1.6ces of South Miami,
Florida, is hereby amended by adding thereto sub - paragraphs to
be numbered "c" and "d "; said sub - paragraphs to read as follows:
(c) The City 'Manager shall establish fees to be
charged 'for`the furnishing of copies" Of City
records and documents. The City Manager shall
estalish fees to be Citybsponsored programsarincludr, par`ticipati4on'' "in

ing-but not limited,
to those conducted`by`,the recreational °department;
a different schedule of fees may be e6tab6'lislhed for
non - residents of the City. Where services are per-
formed by'the "City and a fee not established by-"the
Council, the City Manager shall establish such fee.
A list of all `fees and charges established by the
City Manager shall be on file with the City Clerk
together with all amendments and "changes thereto
and available "T' public inspecti'on.. All fees and
charges established pursuant,hereto shall be pre -
dicated upon the actual cost to the City and
subject to review by the City Council.
(d) The administ "ration department shall perform
such other functions as required by City Council.
This ordinance shall become effective upon its adoption in
the manner provided by law.
