1965-529ORDINANCE NO. 529 ORDINANCE OF CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 17-19 OF THE CODE OF .ORDINANCES - THEREBY REDUCING REWIRED WIDTH ,OF SIDEWALKS IN THE MULTIPLE FAMILY, COM14ERCIAL OR INDUSTRIhIs ZONES FROM MINIMUM OF 8 FOOT To A MINIMUM OF G'FOOT. WHEREAS, the applicable ordinances of the City require construction of sidewalks, curbs and gutters to a minimum width of 8 ft. in multiple family, commercial and industrial zones, and WHEREAS; it has been demonstrated to the satisla,ction of the City Council that such width is neither required nor practical in the development of the City, and WHEREAS, the Plannimg and-Zonirfg'Board of the City recommends that the required width'be reduced to a minimum of 6 ft. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT QRDA114ED.-SY THE MAYOR AND-CITY COUNCIL OF CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA-; That Se6tio-n 17-19 of the Code of Ordin&nces of the City of South Miami, Florida, is hereby amended to read as follows: Section '19 Constrtic tion - Width; sp6biticat"ions. All sidewalks constructed tructed in the City ab ttlhg on property zoned and used for single famil'y'residences shall he a minimum of 'five (5) ft. in width. All sidewalks constructed in the City abutting on prop- erties zoned or Used 'for multiple family, commercial or industrial purposes shall be a minimum of six (6) ft. in width. All sidewalks shall be constructed in accordaW6e with the applicable standards speciklcations indicated in the manual of public works of 'the Department of Public Works of Metropolitan Dade County, Florida.
