ORDINANCE OF CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA,
AMENDING CODE OF ORDINANCES OFD CITY OF SOUTH
MIAMI, FLORIDA, BY REPEALING SECTION 20 -36(5)

SAID SECTION PROHIBITING OVERNIGHT'PARKING OF
HOUSE TRAILERS OUTSIDE A LICENSED TRAILER PARK;
FURTHER AMENDING CODE OF ORDINANCES BY ADDING
SECTION TO BE NUMBERED SECTION 20 -7; THEREBY
REGULATING-PARKING OF HOUSE-TRAILERS, AND PRO -
HIBITING USE OF SAME AS DWELLING; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE` DATE.

WHEREAS, the City - Council has contemplated amending its
ordinances relative to the parking or storing of trailers, and

WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Board of the City duly

held a public hearing for the purpose of considering the proper
and'necessar — changes and thereafter recommends that the park-
ing of any trailer or like vehicle be prohibited in the area
between the building line and "the center line of the adjacent
,;
street, and that the use for living accomodations, sleeping

quarters, storage, or other use'of a park for storage trailer
be prohibited, and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after holding a duly advertised
public hearing and the hearing of interested parties, finds
that it is to the best interest of the City and its inhabitants
to make'those changes in the Code of Ordinances hereinafter
set forth;

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE M14YOR AND'CITY COUNCIL OF CITY
OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA:
1. That Section 20 -36(5) of the Code of Ordinances of
City of jouth Miami, Florida, is hereby repealed. Said Section
relating to the prohibiting of overnight parking of house
trailers, house cars or mobile residences, outside of a licensed
trailer park.

2. That the Code of Ordinances of the City of South
Miami, Florida, is hereby amended by adding thereto a Section
to be numbered Section 20 -7. Said Section 20 -7 to read as
follows:
Section 20 -7. It shall be unlawful to store
or park overnight any house trailer, or mobile
` residence within the required setback distance
of any property within the City. It shall be
unlawful to use any trailer, house car or
mobile residence as a dwelling unit within the
City except in a duly licensed trailer park.
3. Each of the provisions of this Ordinance are severable
' and if any sect "ion, paragraph pr word be declared for any
reason to be invalid, the remaining I provisions shall not be
affected, but shall remain in full foree and effect.
4. This Ordiaance shall become_ effective upon its
adoption in the'manner provided by 'law.
