WHEREAS, the City previously adopted Ordinance No. 375 on

October 1, 1957, amending Chapter 20 of the Code of Ordinances

CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA:
by adding thereto a section designated as Section 20 -22.1, said

1. That Section 20 -22.1 of the Code of Ordinances of the
section containing a provision that existing ° -residential buildings

City of South Miami, Florida, is hereby repealed and made of

in the area bounded by Sunset Drive on the south, by one lot deep
on the west side of 62 Avenue, by one lot deep on the north side

of SW 68 Street and by SW 59 Place, be razed or removed before
C -1 uses be permitted on the lands, and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Board duly held a public
hearing on the llth day of May,-1965, for the purpose of

considering eliminating such provision, and

WHEREAS, after such hearing, the Planning and 2onir►9 `Board

recommends that Section 20 -22.1 of the Code of Ordinances be

repealed thereby eliminating the aorementioned requirement, and
WHEREAS, the City Council; after the hearing of interested
parties and considering°'the recommendation, finds that it is to
the best interest of the City, its inhabitants and the future
growth of the area to follow the recommendation of the Planning
and Zoning Board;

IT IS, THEREFORE, ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA:
1. That Section 20 -22.1 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of South Miami, Florida, is hereby repealed and made of
no force and effect. The caption of said section reading as

follows:
"Certain Described Property Zoned as C -1; Permitted
and Prohibited Uses; Setback, Trash Collection; Beautifilation
Requirements."
2. That the lands encompassed and described in said
section shall remain zoned as C -1 usage without the restriction
of having to remove existing residential structures from said
lands prior to the remodeling or erection of commercial buildings.
Said lands being descr-.bed as:
