ORDINANCE OF CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA,
AMENDING SECTION 10 -1 AND SECTION 10-4 OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI,
FLORIDA; THEREBY AnOPTING BY REFERENCE''10G0
ADDITION FIRE PREVENTION CODE; ESTABLISHING
LIMITS FOR STORAGE OF INFLAMMABLE LIQUIDS AND-
PETROLEUM GAS IN BULK; PROVIDING FOR SEVERA-
BILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY 'COUNCIL OF CITY'OF
SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA:
1. That Section 10 -1 of'the Code of Ordinances of the
City-'of South Miami, Florida, is hereby amended to read as
follows:
Section' 10-1. FIRE PREVENTION CODE. There is he
adopted by "the City of`South Miami, Flo'r`ida, for the
purpose of- prescribe'rig'regulations, governing conditions
hazardous to life or property ``ffom fire or explosions,
that certain Code, known as The Fire Prevention Code,
recommended` by the National Board "'of Fire Underwriters,
as -he same may be amended from time to time, and the
whole thereof, including appendix a, b, c, save and
except such portions as are hereinafter deleted,

2. Section 10 -4 of the Code of Ordinances of City of
South Miami, Florida, is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 4. LIMITS ESTABLISit
SHEDrFOR STORAGE OF INFLAMMABLE
LIQUID AND PETROLEUM GAS IN BULK. The limits
referred to in Section 16 8
':2 2 '(a) of the Fire Preve. ntion
Code, in which storage of inflammable- liquids in outside,
above ground tanks, is prohibited, is hereby established,
as all areas of the City zoned or used for residential
usage, together with those areas of the City zoned for
C -1 and C -2 usage, as defined in Chapter 20 of this Code.

3. Each of the provisions of this Ordinance are severable,
i and if any section, paragraph, sentence or word be declared,
for any reason, to be invalid, the remaining provisions shall
not be affected, but shall remain in full force and effect.
